PISD COVID-19 Update #12- Thursday, March 26, 2020

Whew!  What an exciting day!  It was so wonderful to see everyone! We have missed YOU!

Even though we kept our distance and could only smile and wave to the cars, we could see the smiling faces and hear the sweet voices and laughter.  It filled my heart with joy to see the “air” hugs, kisses, and high-fives as everyone drove through our campus distribution lines today.  Thank you all for your patience and for your outward display of gratitude for the work our staff has been doing to serve you.  It truly is our pleasure and we are all fortunate to be in such a blessed community.

We distributed over 3000 items today including meals, devices, and instructional packets!  Unbelievable!  These #moments will last a lifetime!  Check out this video to see the highlights of the day https://youtu.be/9-rf04WURQo.

If you were not able to make it out today, we hope to see you tomorrow.  Please visit our website for all distribution locations and information.  Click Here for Information

Below are a few updates, reminders, and housekeeping items of importance for tomorrow.  Please take a moment to read the list.  If you have questions, please call our office from 9 am-1 pm at 669-4700 or email us at pampaisdinfo@pampaisd.net

Meals-

There was a little confusion today about the meals.  In this time of a global crisis, the federal government and the state of Texas have opened up the distribution guidelines for Pampa to allow ANY child between the ages of One(1) and Eighteen(18), regardless of income or need to receive both breakfast and lunch!  So, come on out and let us serve you tomorrow!

Instructional Materials/Technology-

We are distributing Chromebooks and materials to grades 2-12 and IPADS to Kinder and 1st graders.  PreK and Head Start will receive packets of materials but no devices.  Devices are being distributed at the same locations as the meals.

Instructional packets are being distributed at each campus as well but will be on different schedules for each grade level.  Please follow your campus FACEBOOK for details on instructional materials.  If you have questions, please email pampaisdinfo@pampaisd.net

If you picked up a device and are having any issues, please email support@pampaisd.net  We are also working on a tech-support hotline number and will get that out soon.

New Students-

We had many new faces today!  We are so happy you are here!

If you are new to Pampa ISD, we need you to enroll so we can get your information in our system as soon as possible. We ask that you please go to our ONLINE REGISTRATION PORTAL.

Please know that you do not have to be fully registered to receive services. Come on by a campus and let us meet you and we will gladly provide your student(s) with everything they need to be successful. We are excited that you have chosen Pampa ISD! Come on out; we cannot wait to welcome you to our school family. You are going to love Pampa ISD!

Despite the social distancing, the unrest, and the uncertainty going on all around us, the Pampa Community was CONNECTED today and it felt GREAT!  As educators, we are at our happiest when we are serving our students and families.  For those of you we saw today, please know we love you, we miss you, and we cannot wait to see you again.  If we missed you today, we urge you to come on out tomorrow and let us see you and serve you!  It is what we do best!  We are here for you!  Together, we are #PampaProud and stronger together!  #stayhomePampa
