**Announcement**- Pampa Junior High Student Walk-out

A small group of students at Pampa Junior High organized a walkout as part of a national movement to show a desire for more active legislation about violence in schools.  Today is the 19th anniversary of the Columbine attack.   Although we applaud our students’ civic and social issue awareness and engagement, as a school it is our first and most important job to keep our school safe and orderly.  As on any day, leaving a classroom without permission and disrupting the school day is against our code of safety and conduct and the usual consequences of such a decision must and will follow.  Please note that attempts were made by the administration to cooperate with student organizers of this event to find alternative options to participate and engage in this movement without breaking school rules of safety and order.
