September is Attendance Awareness Month, and we’re reminding our Harvester families just how quickly missed school days can add up.
Even missing one day every two weeks can mean approximately 20 days—or four weeks—of missed instruction in a school year.
We know there are times when absences are necessary. But whenever possible, making regular, on-time attendance a priority gives students more opportunities to learn, build relationships and succeed.
And if your family is facing a challenge that makes getting to school difficult, please reach out. We’re here to help.
💚💛 Every Student. Every Opportunity. Every Day.

We want to extend our heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Byron May, principal of Travis Elementary, on being named the lone finalist for superintendent of Clarendon CISD🐎.

This week, our classrooms were filled with color, creativity, and heart as students and staff showed up in their brightest, boldest socks to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day!
Rocking mismatched socks is a fun way to start conversations about inclusion and to celebrate the uniqueness that makes each of us special. It’s also a powerful reminder that differences are something to be embraced and celebrated.

I just wanted to take time out and send everyone a quick message regarding a potential situation that could affect us all if we do not become proactive about it. I have been informed by a couple of community members that "Freshman Kidnapping" is supposed to occur this Saturday evening. I want everyone associated with Athletics to know what our official stance is on this activity. The Athletics Department is against this practice of Freshman Kidnapping!!
I have made this known in every meeting that I have had with kids and parents. I would encourage all people in our school community (coaches, teachers, administrators, parents, and students) to discourage this practice. It just takes one mishap to change the life of a student forever! So please reach out to your students and talk to them about how we can build our school community in a positive manner instead of doing silly stuff that can have negative consequences.
Thank you,
Coach White
Athletic Director
