Pampa ISD is excited to continue our partnership with Securranty to offer affordable insurance for school-issued student Chromebooks. This optional insurance is available for all students Kindergarten--12th grade and is highly recommended. In case of an incident, the district will file the claim and provide a loaner device if needed.

Insurance Details: 

• Cost:

  • $25 per student for 12 months of coverage. 

• Coverage: 

  • Accidental damage (drops, cracked screens, liquid spills) 

  • Theft or loss (including the power adapter)

  • Fire, flood, power surge, natural disasters 

• Exclusions: 

  • Damage deemed by Securranty to be caused by intentional misuse or abuse

  • Cosmetic damage (damage that does not affect functionality) 

The insurance policy exists between the parent and Securranty; Pampa ISD merely acts as an intermediary to file claims and perform repair work.

Securranty makes the final decision on whether a claim is covered by the insurance policy. If a claim is rejected, Pampa ISD has no authority to overturn it.

Students and their families are responsible for the care of district-owned devices. For students not covered under insurance, parents/guardians are liable for any loss or damage.

Pampa ISD is able to offer a parental control app for free that can be installed on your student's personal devices.

The Qustodio Parent App allows you to set screen time limits, filter content, manage app access, and monitor YouTube usage on a personal device. If you choose, you can also upgrade to Qustodio Premium for additional features like location tracking and call monitoring.

Getting Started with Qustodio

Parents can now log into the Pampa ISD library system to view available books, see their child's checkout history, and block books from being checked out to their child.
