HARVESTER HYBRID

PAMPA, TX — Pampa Independent School District is introducing an innovative new learning model designed to provide families with both flexibility and academic excellence. The Harvester Hybrid program, now in its pilot phase, offers a unique approach to education that blends on-campus instruction with flexible, student-centered learning opportunities.

The program is currently being piloted at Austin Elementary School for kindergarten and first grade students, as well as at Pampa High School for upperclassmen. This initiative reflects the district’s commitment to expanding learning options and meeting the evolving needs of students and families.

A New Model for Elementary Learning

At the elementary level, Harvester Hybrid is built on a simple idea: what if families didn’t have to choose between flexibility and excellence?

Students at Austin Elementary participate in focused, on-campus morning instruction in core academic areas, including:

  • A phonics program grounded in the science of reading

  • High-quality math and reading curriculum

  • Instruction from certified educators

In the afternoons, students transition to family-directed learning at home, allowing families to shape their child’s schedule and extend learning beyond the classroom.

This model is designed to support:

  • Homeschool families seeking structured academic support

  • Private school families looking for flexibility

  • Families who want more personalized learning options

Expanding Opportunities for High School Students

At Pampa High School, the Harvester Hybrid program offers upperclassmen increased flexibility in their academic schedules while opening doors to new career pathways.

This model allows students to take greater ownership of their learning while still maintaining access to district resources, instruction, and support. Whether students are pursuing advanced coursework, career exploration, or alternative scheduling options, the program is designed to help them prepare for college, careers, and beyond.
