PAMPA, TX June 23, 2025– Pampa ISD marked a major milestone this week as district administrators, board members, and members of the architecture firm, Shiver-Megert & Associates gathered to break ground on a transformational addition to Pampa High School. The new Career and Technology and Fine Arts building, made possible by the voter-approved 2023 Bond, is set to open in Fall 2027 and will expand learning opportunities for students across the district.
The groundbreaking ceremony included remarks from Superintendent Hugh Piatt, High School Principal Clay Jones, and members of the Pampa ISD Board of Trustees. The project is being designed by Shiver-Megert & Associates, and construction will begin immediately on the high school campus.
Pampa ISD Superintendent, Hugh Piatt said, “This wouldn’t happen without the Board making their courageous decision and getting the community involved. This is going to be outstanding for our students to have something that is up to date and modern to be able to go into jobs that are not even created yet.”
The new facility will feature industry-standard classrooms and labs for Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs, along with modern performance and instructional spaces for Fine Arts. It reflects the district’s mission to produce learners who are compassionate, competent, confident, and future-ready.
Pampa ISD’s vision emphasizes preparing students for an increasingly competitive, global, and complex world. This project is one of several underway as part of the Bond 2023 initiative, including a major addition at Travis Elementary.
The district anticipates opening both the high school and elementary additions in the fall of 2027.
