The Pampa Lady Harvesters (20-18) took the road on Saturday as they traveled to Perryton to take on the Rangerettes and continue District 4-4A action.

The Lady Harvesters finished their season sweep of their district foe with a single-game sweep of 25-9, 25-11, 25-15. After dropping Saturday contests early in District play, Head Coach Kaylee Samulowitz was happy to see the Lady Harvesters come out with energy and win convincingly this weekend.

“We have started to change some of our routines on Saturday mornings to get our energy and focus levels up,” Samulowitz said. “I think that has been helping, along with continued improvements to our offensive rhythm.”

Being the second completed season sweep in as many weeks is big for the Lady Harvesters’ program, but is also a confidence-booster.

“Getting four wins versus Perryton and Borger is definitely an expectation in our program,” Samulowitz said. “It has shown the girls how good they really are, and hopefully will be the confidence boost they need to get another couple of wins before the season ends.”

Junior Kinley Duke, who had two kills, two aces and one dig in the match, was selected for Athlete of the Week, and has been a hard-worker for the Lady Harvesters.

“Kinley is such an experienced player and brings a lot of game knowledge to our team,” Samulowitz said. “She always has a great attitude and works super hard in the weight room and practice. Kinley is a really good athlete and plays an important role on our team. We are lucky to have her as part of our program.”

Tuesday the Lady Harvesters have their last home game of the season against Dumas at 7 p.m. It will also be Senior Night.

“Senior Night is always an emotional and fun evening,” Samulowitz said. “I hope that the girls can relax and enjoy the game with their teammates for the last time at home. If they will rise to their level of capability, they will come away with a win on a really exciting night.”
