The Pampa Lady Harvesters (16-10) traveled to Dalhart on Friday for one final tune-up match ahead of their District opener against West Plains on Tuesday.

The Lady Harvesters won the match in four sets (25-20, 23-25, 25-15, 26-24), finishing what was a long non-district schedule preparing for District.

“I think the girls are feeling confident and excited for today (Tuesday’s match against West Plains),” Head Coach Kaylee Samulowitz said. Preseason is such a grind and they have worked hard, so everyone is excited to move on to the best part of the season.”

In preparation for their District opener, the Lady Harvesters wanted to just focus on the fundamentals.

“Yesterday (Monday) we worked on a few things we'd like to implement for the game tonight (Tuesday) and are just continuing to work on our fundamentals which need to be solid going into every district game,” Samulowitz said.

The Lady Harvesters turned their attention to Tuesday’s match-up against West Plains to open District play. Game time is at 7 p.m. after JV.

“West Plains is always a strong team,” Samulowitz said. “So it'll be a great test right off the bat to see where we are at. This team has had a goal since May to make the playoffs, so I'm looking forward to seeing how we compete tonight.”
