Parker Webb is a Senior athlete on the Harvester Track team. He also played football and basketball. He is signed with Cisco College to play football next year. He is returning to State for the second time in his PHS career in the discus. He set his personal record in discus in back-to-back weeks. The 172’3” mark at Regionals punched his ticket to Austin and gave him a second-place finish for Regionals. It will be his second trip to State!
Here is what Harvester Track Head Coach Eric Langhenning had to say about Parker:
“Parker has had a great couple of weeks. He is a competitor and wants to be the best at everything he does. After placing fourth in Shot Put, he turned around an hour later and threw a personal best in the discus to earn his trip to the show. He has been a great inspiration to our younger kids and has modeled the work ethic, commitment, and resilience it takes to be successful,” Langhenning said.
Avery Ferguson is a Senior athlete on the Harvester track team. He is headed to State in Austin for the fourth straight year. He competes in the 100-meter and 400-meter wheelchair dashes. He finished third in both events at Regionals. He will compete in the 100-meter dash in Austin.
Here is what Harvester Track Head Coach Eric Langhenning had to say about Avery:
“Avery has done an outstanding job all year. He continues to work and better all aspects of his races. He will get to cap off his High School career with another trip to Austin. He is a joy to be around and his attitude is contagious. Coach (Tad) Smith has done an excellent job training and preparing Avery for this season and I'm really appreciative for his help,” Langhenning said.
Congratulations to Parker and Avery on being what a great Harvester student-athlete is all about!
