Boston

Senior Right Fielder Boston Botello just celebrated 100 varsity games with the Pampa Harvester Baseball team. The game last Friday against Perryton marked his 100th game.

Here is what Boston had to say about the feat:

“Reaching 100 games is pretty special to me. It makes me think about all the time and effort I’ve put into the sport alone. It also reminds me of all the teammates I’ve shared the field with. Being on varsity for four years has really helped me grow and develop into the young man I am today, both as a player and as a person. I'm beyond thankful for my coaches, teammates, and everyone who’s supported me along the way. I wouldn't want to play 100 games anywhere else,” Botello said.

Head Coach Austin Samulowitz’ thoughts about Boston’s 100th game:

“Boston has started all four years in the outfield for the baseball program. He has shown a lot of grit and determination these past four years. Our biggest success was his junior year when we won the bi-district playoff series. He is having a good senior year as far as statistics go and he will be missed next year,” Samulowitz said.

He has been a member of the varsity program all four years. Most of those appearances being in right field, where he is responsible for 177 outs. Boston also has hit three home runs and has 84 hits at the plate. As the right fielder, Boston has helped the Harvesters win 47 games over the past four seasons. In 2025, Boston was voted the team's annual Fighting Heart award where he demonstrated what it means to be successful through both good and bad times. Boston also won the quality at-bat award for the 2024 season. Boston’s plans after high school include attending South Plains College where he will major in I&E. Boston’s favorite memory was Greyson breaking Coach Sam’s fungo this year while playing fungo golf. Coach Sam’s favorite memories of Boston are the conversations over the past four years that were about life, dealing and overcoming hard times and becoming a better young man.

Congratulations Boston on a major milestone, setting the standard for a Harvester athlete, and good luck in your future endeavors.
