The Pampa Harvesters and Lady Harvesters track and field teams competed this week with athletes participating across a full slate of varsity and junior varsity events. The Raider Nation Relays were hosted by Randall. Several athletes recorded personal bests and season-best performances as the teams continue building momentum during the track season.

For the Harvesters on the track, Junior Ira Smith led the varsity efforts in the 400 meters, finishing fourth in the finals with a time of 53.51 after running 53.59 in the preliminaries. Junior Kaden Newton recorded a personal best of 58.20 in the prelims, while Senior Bryson Cooper ran 58.88.

In the 100 meters varsity prelims, Junior Kairo Flores ran 12.21, while Sophomore Aiden Hammond finished with 12.87.

In the 200 meters varsity prelims, Junior Gunter Thomas posted 24.36, and Junior Kaden Newton ran 26.51.

The varsity 4x100 relay team of Junior Ira Smith, Junior Kairo Flores, Senior Jeremiah Davis, and Junior Ezra Robinson ran 46.04.

In the junior varsity 100 meters, Junior Izarius Johns finished with 12.44, and Freshman Payton Pennington recorded a personal best of 12.86.

In the junior varsity 200 meters, Freshman Kevin Slater ran 28.23 for a personal best.

In the junior varsity 400 meters, Freshman Carson McCarley posted 1:03.88.

In the distance races, Sophomore Nathaniel Briones recorded personal bests in both the junior varsity 800 meters (2:24.48) and the junior varsity 1600 meters (5:32.11).

In the wheelchair division, Senior Avery Ferguson placed second in the 100 meters with a season-best time of 22.01 and also finished second in the 400 meters with a time of 1:52.84.

Field events produced several strong results for the Harvesters. Senior Parker Webb had one of the top finishes for Pampa, placing third in the varsity discus with a throw of 147-02, a season best. Webb also finished fifth in the varsity shot put with a season-best throw of 48-03.

Junior Jace Jones placed seventh in the varsity shot put with a throw of 46-01.

In the junior varsity shot put, Freshman Mason Mitchell threw 28-05, while Sophomore Travis Williams recorded 26-02.

Williams also posted a personal best of 98-09 in the junior varsity discus, while Mitchell threw 96-10.

In the varsity discus, Senior Clayton Ward finished with 106-09, while Junior Wakely Ogle threw 96-04.

In the jumping events, Freshman Baron Hudson cleared 5-06 in the varsity high jump for a personal best, and Sophomore Jeryn Owens recorded a personal best of 5-02.

In the junior varsity pole vault, Freshman Carson McCarley cleared 9-00 for a personal best, while Sophomore Antawn Wright cleared 7-06.

In the junior varsity long jump, Junior Izarius Johns recorded a personal best of 17-07.5, finishing seventh.

In the varsity long jump, Junior Ira Smith jumped 19-08.5 for a personal best, Junior Gunter Thomas recorded a personal best of 19-04, and Senior Jeremiah Davis jumped 18-07.

In the varsity triple jump, Junior Ira Smith recorded 39-01.5, while Junior Ryan Resendez jumped 35-02.

The junior varsity 4x100 relay team of Sophomore Antawn Wright, Junior Izarius Johns, Freshman Brody Alexander, and Freshman Colton Rose ran 49.16.

On the girls side, the Lady Harvesters also competed across a wide range of events.

In the varsity 100 meters prelims, Junior Emmah McDonough ran a personal best of 14.59, tying Freshman Lindi Curtis, who also ran 14.59. Senior Zhalie Solis posted a season best of 14.88, and Sophomore Madilyn Paul ran 14.95.

In the junior varsity 100 meters, Freshman Chanel Conley finished 12th with a time of 14.67.

In the varsity 200 meters, Freshman Lindi Curtis ran 29.45, Sophomore Madilyn Paul posted 30.49, and Junior Emmah McDonough recorded a personal best of 33.59.

In the junior varsity 200 meters, Junior Emery Gomez ran 31.21, while Junior Leslie Fuentes recorded a personal best of 35.05.

In the junior varsity 400 meters, Sophomore Anaya Rocha ran a personal best of 1:12.37, while Freshman Yadira Vasquez ran 1:13.79 for a personal best. Sophomore Yaelin Barraza added a season-best time of 1:15.57.

In the varsity 400 meters, Junior Emmah McDonough ran 1:20.45.

In the hurdles, Junior Carissa Leal posted a season-best time of 20.45 in the 100-meter hurdles, while Senior Zhalie Solis recorded a personal best of 20.67. Leal also ran 1:00.93 for a season best in the 300-meter hurdles.

In the field events, Freshman Alexis Porter delivered one of the top finishes for the Lady Harvesters, placing third in the junior varsity discus with a throw of 84-03. Freshman Berkleigh Cain also recorded a personal best of 64-07.

In the varsity discus, Senior Haili Newton threw 80-01 for a season best, Junior Tamblynn Moss recorded 77-04, and Sophomore Aspen K. Alexander posted a season best of 74-02.

Alexander also competed in the varsity shot put, recording 26-10.

In the jumping events, Junior Olivia Owens cleared 4-02 in the junior varsity high jump for a personal best.

In the junior varsity pole vault, Freshman Lilyann Siirtola cleared 6-00, finishing fourth.

Sophomore Madilyn Paul also competed in the varsity long jump, posting a season best of 14-03.5, and recorded 29-11.5 in the varsity triple jump. Sophomore Izzabella Kimbrell added 27-01 in the triple jump.

With athletes competing across both varsity and junior varsity divisions and multiple personal best performances recorded, the Harvesters and Lady Harvesters continue showing steady improvement as the track season progresses.
