The Pampa Harvester Golf season kicked off with a tournament last Friday and Saturday in Plainview. The team is coached by Jason Burklow.
The 2026 Golf Lady Harvester team is made up of both Freshmen Sailor Baldridge and Cameron Curtis. The Harvester Boys Golf team has Seniors: Jayden Fossett, Bryson Williams, Dayton Adams, Dace Scott, and Justin Chavez. Juniors: Brady Smith, and Brycen Lewis. Sophomores: Nathan Haynes, Dage Scott, Travis Williams, John West, and David Solis. The lone Freshman is Landry Classeen.
Here were the results from the tournament in Plainview:
Jayden Fossett shot a 78 and 77

John West shot a 112 and 105

How did Coach Burklow feel about the first action of the season?
“Pampa boys golf competed in Plainview for the 1st tournament of the season. Couldn't be happier with the weather and how our boys competed. All our boys struck the ball well off the tee box, hitting a lot of fairways and playing away from the danger. You could tell that we understand course management off the tee. We do need a little work on how to play our second shot and knowing that if there is an elevated green, play below the hole and not above it. Just a few little things like that where we can improve for our next tournament and into district play. Our overall putting was fairly solid. Greens were pretty slick but nothing new that we hadn't practiced here at home. I am super proud of our guys and the way they competed,” Burklow said.
The girls will compete at the Raider Rumble Thursday February 12th and the Tulia Tournament on February 17th. The JV boys team will play in the Tulia Tournament on February 18th. Varsity will head to Shadow Hills for a Regional Preview Tournament on February 20-21st.
