Senior Dalton Booth scored his 1,000th point in his career as the Pampa Hustlin’ Harvesters (20-10, 6-4) finished a sweep of the Perryton Rangers on the road Tuesday evening.
The win comes at a crucial time, keeping Pampa a game ahead of the Dumas Demons for that coveted fourth spot in the District standings.
“Perryton is always a tough place to play, so it was nice to go in there and dominate,” Head Coach Braydon Barker said. “We stretched the lead to 30 points at one point in the second half so that was nice.”
Booth, who has been on varsity for three and a half years, scored his 1,000th point in the process, a milestone that is a testament to his hard work and commitment to the team.
“It was awesome to see Dalton get rewarded for all of his hard work the last four years,” Barker said. “He has been a big scorer for us for three and a half years. Scoring 1,000 points in a career is a huge accomplishment.”
The Harvesters return to action on Friday when they host Randall for Senior Night. It will also be “Dress your type” night for the Riot.
“We have a huge matchup with Randall for Senior night on Friday,” Barker said.
“We will be honoring 10 seniors, which is by far the most we have ever had. We did not play well when we played Randall the first time at their place, so I am looking forward to playing them at our place.
“The theme for the evening is ‘Dress your type.’ Our student section has been awesome the last several games, so hopefully they show up again on Friday to make it a tough atmosphere for Randall to play in.”
