The Pampa Hustlin’ Harvesters (10-5, 1-0) concluded their tournament season with the Gruver Tournament. The Harvesters went 2-1 in the tournament with wins over Stratford (68-52) and Spearman (61-50) and their lone loss came to the host team (64-36).

“We played really well the second day of the tournament against Stratford and Spearman,” Head Coach Braydon Barker said. “We had a rough second half against Gruver after only being down five at halftime. I was proud of the way the guys responded after the Gruver game.”

As Barker alluded to, the loss against Gruver was the let-down moment of the tournament.

“We struggled with turnovers against Gruver in the second half,” Barker said. “I also didn't think our effort was where it needed to be in the second half after Gruver made a run.”

The Harvesters return to action on Tuesday when they take the road to continue District play at Hereford.

“We resume district next Tuesday with a huge game on the road at Hereford,” Barker said. “They lost the majority of their team from last year, so they have a pretty young squad. We will have to handle their big guy inside that is very athletic.”
