“My early impressions of the team are extremely positive,” Head Coach Ryan Pearson said. “This group is doing a great job so far. They’re working hard every day and really starting to build a culture where each athlete believes in themselves.

“You can see them putting in the time and effort in the wrestling room to improve. I’m proud of the direction we’re heading and excited to see how they continue to grow.”

The Harvesters competed at the Borger Tri on Thursday and will compete at the Boomtown Brawl Saturday. Their Junior Varsity team will compete at West Plains Friday.

Pearson is excited about the opportunities for the young grapplers have to compete this weekend.

“I’m excited for some of our newer faces to see what wrestling is all about,” Pearson said. “These athletes are hungry for the competition. Up until this point they have only known wrestling in the context of the practice room. They go to battle every day with each other, and I know they are ready to go and compete with other schools.”

“As for the varsity on Saturday, it’s a good opportunity to go out and hone our craft. I’m looking forward to seeing these wrestlers continue to set the standard for what Pampa Wrestling is all about.”
