Pampa Harvester Athletes of the Week (Nov 3 - Nov 9)
Emmy Boutsamaly is #1 and a sophomore on the basketball team for the Lady Harvesters. In the season opening game against Spearman, she had 13 points, four rebounds, and three steals.
Here is what Head Coach Clint Watson had to say about Emmy:
“She scored a game-high 13 points, grabbed four rebounds and had three steals. She is always in control when she is on the court. She has the ball in her hands a lot and she always makes great decisions. She's a fearless attacker and has a deadly outside shot. She always has a smile on her face. She is a leader for us, because she plays the game the right way!” Watson said.
Reese Waldrip is #6 and is a Running Back/Defensive Back for the Harvester Football team. Through the West Plains game, he had one interception, one touchdown and 21 tackles on defense. For the season on offense he had 145 yards rushing and two touchdowns. He also had 132 kick return yards on the season.
Here is what Pampa’s Eric Langhenning, who is his position coach, had to say about Reese:
“I love that kid. He's a worker and believes in himself. Anything you ask of him he is willing to do with a tremendous amount of effort. He has a lot of money in the bank with me and I wish I would have had more time with him. He's an incredible young man that will be successful in whatever he chooses to do, that's just who he is.”
Congratulations to Emmy and Reese on being what a great Harvester student-athlete is all about!
