CANYON - The Pampa Lady Harvesters (18-15, 4-9) traveled to Randall for their final road game of the season. The Lady Raiders were too much for Pampa as they swept the Lady Harvesters for the 3-0 win (13-25, 18-25, 15-25).
The Lady Harvesters have been a part of one of the toughest districts in the state the last few years, with the Canyon Independent School District schools of Canyon, Randall and West Plains often vying for the top of the District. Head Coach Abbey Kashwer was happy with the resiliency of the Lady Harvesters when facing those powerhouses, but still sees room for improvement.
“This season we competed with the Canyon schools, but it wasn’t for a full match,” Kashwer said. “It would be one set or moments during a set. Building confidence within this program and Lady Harvester athletics is key to beating these teams and to have the mind set of wanting to compete to win.”
Looking ahead, the Lady Harvesters will close out the season when they host Dumas on Saturday. The Lady Harvesters will look to play spoiler and hopefully set the tone going into the offseason.
“Beating Dumas may shake things up a bit, but the biggest key is what do we want to leave out on the floor that is exciting to think about for next season,” Kashwer said.
