Pampa Harvester Athletes of the Week (Sept 2-Oct 5)

Haili Newton is a Junior for the Lady Harvester Volleyball team. She had nine kills against Canyon on Saturday. She also had a 1.8 serve rating and a 2.6 serve receive rating. Here is what Head Coach Abbey Kashwer had to say about Haili:
“Haili was competing to win against Canyon on Saturday. She was playing aggressively and is one of the most coachable kids in the program. She is all about LHVB!”
Clayton Ward is a Senior Tight End/Linebacker for the Harvester Football team. Clayton has racked up 18 total tackles on the season, 12 solo and six assists. Here is what Head Coach/Linebacker Coach Floyd White had to say about Clayton:
“Clayton is the epitome of what you would call a leader. He is one of the very first guys in the office each day. He gets in there and works his tail off. He is very cerebral as well. There are times we are trying to get him off the field but don’t want to lose his leadership on the field. He makes all the calls, he can get all the checks and all those things,” Head Coach/Linebacker Coach Floyd White said. “When you are dealing with a guy like Clayton, he is almost invaluable. You can’t put a dollar sign or quantity on what it is he does for our team. I look forward to watching him grow and and watch as he grows and graduates and goes on to play college football, wherever that ends up being (because he will play college ball). I am excited and I can’t wait to see where he ends up from here.”
Congratulations to Haili and Clayton on being what a great Harvester student-athlete is all about!
