Every Friday evening in the fall you will see a player wearing #32. This number is special in Pampa High School Football history as it is the jersey number worn by Pro Football Hall of Fame member, Zach Thomas. As a tribute to Zach, the Pampa High School football program will be retiring #32 from the jersey circulation. From this day forward, jersey #32 will be worn every Friday night by a different individual. That individual embodies that competitive spirit which Zach Thomas displayed every Friday night in the fall. The individual will be voted on by the coaching staff.

The fifth individual to be selected by his coaching staff for this 2025 season to have the honor of wearing #32 will be Dase Scott, senior fullback and tight end. He normally bears #28 but for the Perryton game he will be wearing the Zach Thomas #32.

How does it feel for Scott to be the next one selected?

“I feel very appreciated as a player that my coaches selected me to wear #32. My coaches push me every day to be a better teammate and player, and for them to choose me to wear the number is an honor. Wearing the number #32 means a lot to me,” Scott said. “Throughout my years as a Pampa Harvester, I've heard the name Zach Thomas and how hard of a worker he was and is. To be able to recognize the legacy he set, by wearing the number #32, is a huge privilege.”

Dase also plays basketball for the Hustlin’ Harvesters and is on the golf team as well. But, what does he do in his free time outside of school and athletics?

“Outside of school, I am involved in Trinity Fellowship Youth as an intern and I love playing golf and hanging out with my friends,” Scott said.

His favorite subject is math, because “you are challenged to apply what you have learned to solve problems,” Scott said.

After high school, he plans to study Theology and Christian Ministry and share the Gospel with others.

Here is what Pampa’s Head Coach Floyd White, who is also his position coach, had to say about Dase:

“Dase is a tremendous young man. He is a great worker and a great person. He is one of the smartest young men that I have ever coached. I can give an in game adjustment and he will make sure that it gets done. While he is not the loudest guy in the room, he is a leader amongst his peers. I can't wait to see what the future has in store for Dase!!” White said.
