Every Friday evening in the fall you will see a player wearing #32. This number is special in Pampa High School Football history as it is the jersey number worn by Pro Football Hall of Fame member, Zach Thomas. As a tribute to Zach, the Pampa High School football program will be retiring #32 from the jersey circulation. From this day forward, jersey #32 will be worn every Friday night by a different individual. That individual embodies that competitive spirit which Zach Thomas displayed every Friday night in the fall. The individual will be voted on by the coaching staff.
The third individual to be selected by his coaching staff for this 2025 season to have the honor of wearing #32 will be Parker Webb, senior fullback and linebacker. He normally bears #35 but for the Caprock game he will be wearing the Zach Thomas #32.
How does it feel for Webb to be the next one selected?
“It is truly an honor to wear the jersey, I am proud, humbled and motivated. It’s about representing something bigger than myself,” Webb said.
Parker also plays on the Hustlin’ Harvester basketball team and throws discus and shot put for track. He would love to play football and throw discus and shot in college.
“I would love to go to Texas Tech. My doors are open for college and I’m still trying to achieve it,” Webb said.
Outside of school and football, he loves working out and perfecting his craft on the football field and in the ring. He also enjoys hanging out with his friends.
“I like to watch game film on myself/teammates/opponents to better myself for the next opportunity when that arises,” Webb said.
What is his favorite subject in school?
“My favorite subject is either math or history because math has just come easy to me and I see myself maybe working in a field that involves math and history because I love learning about the past,” Webb said.
Webb plans to major in Radiology or something with Engineering but is still undecided.
“I have five offers already but I'm still chasing more opportunities and eventually the one I want to get! Wearing #32 is something to look up to and chase for my legacy and myself personally,” Webb said.
