The Pampa ISD Board of Trustees began its August 31 meeting by celebrating the people who make Pampa ISD a special place to learn, work, and grow. During the district’s Spotlight on Excellence, the Board recognized outstanding members of the Pampa ISD Child Nutrition team, Pampa High School AP students and teachers, and members of the PHS Cheerleading program.
Celebrating Our Child Nutrition Team
Pampa ISD proudly recognized members of the district’s Child Nutrition staff for their hard work, dedication, and service to students and staff.
Each day, these employees do much more than prepare and serve meals. They help create welcoming school environments and make sure students have what they need to be ready to learn. Their commitment to serving others is an important part of the work happening across Pampa ISD every day.
Honoring AP Excellence at Pampa High School
The Board also celebrated Pampa High School AP students and teachers for outstanding achievement in the Advanced Placement program.
Students were recognized for their exceptional performance on AP exams, including students who earned the highest possible score of 5 and those achieving AP Distinguished Scholar recognition.
The teachers who helped lead and prepare these students were also honored. Their commitment to providing rigorous learning opportunities, challenging students to reach their potential, and supporting them along the way plays an important role in these accomplishments.
PHS Cheerleaders Recognized for Summer Achievements
Members of the Pampa High School Cheerleading team and mascot program were also recognized following an outstanding summer.
The team earned UCA Camp Champion honors and three Superior ribbons. Individual recognitions included All-American honors, the Pin It Forward Award, and mascot awards for performance and leadership.
These accomplishments reflect not only the talent of the students but also the time, preparation, teamwork, and leadership required to represent Pampa High School at a high level.
The Spotlight on Excellence recognitions reflect the many different ways Harvesters demonstrate excellence—from classrooms and cafeterias to extracurricular programs.

Board Conducts August Business
Following the recognitions and executive session, trustees moved through the business portion of the meeting. The Board considered the consent agenda, the sale of surplus property, and acceptance of the completed track renovation work and final payment.
Trustees also received several district reports, including updates on facilities, Gifted and Talented programming, Bright Beginnings, district accountability, and enrollment.
