Weather Update and Release Information

The Pampa ISD has been communicating with the National Weather Service and Local and State Authorities with regard to weather and road conditions.  It is anticipated that the worst is over and that the Pampa area should see much lighter snow fall for the remainder of the day.  Crews are out working and should have time to work on major streets and school zones for the afternoon pick up at campuses by 2:00 pm.  With this information, we feel that the safest option is to release our students at 2:00pm today and then allow staff to leave as soon as all students are picked up.

Pampa High School will be on a modified release schedule.  Lunch for all students and staff at PHS will be from 1:30-2:00pm.  Mr. Piatt is communicating the schedule changes for the afternoon with the staff and students now.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we try to figure out the mysterious of the Panhandle weather!  ??  Drive safely and stay warm!  We will communicate about tomorrow’s schedule later this evening!

Dr. Tanya Larkin

Superintendent
