The Wilson P.A.A.S. Pack Is BACK!!!

Greetings From The P.A.A.S. Pack

Is the time flying or what? It seems like we just started school and here it is the into the third six weeks! Wow!!!

Third, Fourth and Fifth Grade PAAS students have been delving into a study of the earth through a web-quest called "The History of the Earth". They are doing studies of the layers of the earth, the rocks, earthquakes and volcanoes. Soon, each of the students will be making their own volcanoes. So, if you feel a rumble in the earth, it may be one of their volcanoes erupting.

First and Second Grade students are doing a study of the ocean and soon they will be making their own ocean with the sea creature they have choosen to research.

Along with all of the research, we have been doing mysteries, logic and deduction puzzles. As one can tell, I am a firm believer students need the experience in researching using all technologies along with the great information from all reading avenues. This is where our time has gone!!

Now, a small amount of info about myself. I went to the following Pampa schools: Baker Elementary, Pampa Junior High (yes, it was called PJHS way back when), Pampa High School and graduated from West Texas A & M with a degree in InterdisciplinaryStudies with a concentration in Reading. I also received a Science Mentor Teacher Certificate by completing 135 hours in Science from the West Texas A&M and Amarillo College Sciennce Collaborative. Before the world of P.A.A.S., I taught Science and Math in Fourth and Fifth Grade at Wilson. I have been a facilitator for P.A.A.S. for four going on five wonderful years.

Thank you for visiting the P.A.A.S. page.
