 Pampa's Government Overview

Brad Pingel was elected as the city's mayor in May 2011. He has lived and worked in Pampa since 2000 and wants to focus on revitalizing the City of Pampa. 

Brad is an active community volunteer.  He is currently serving on the Briarwood Church board of directors, Men’s Ministry board, adult Sunday School teacher, Pampa ISD facilities committee, Texas Lions Camp director in Kerrville, and Northwest Texas Children’s Hospital Advisory Board in Amarillo.  Commissioner Pingel is past President of the Pampa Lions Club.  He is employed by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors as a licensed funeral director and embalmer.  Mr. Pingel is a partner of the Top O’ Texas Monument Co., Inc.

Brad is married to Suzanne and they have two daughters, Lauren and Jodi.

Pampa's City Manager, Richard Morris, is the chief administrative officer for the city and is responsible for the administration of Pampa's city business.  Prior to his appointment to City Manager in 2009, Richard served as the Director of Public Works/City Engineer for over 17 years. Richard graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.  Richard and his wife, Jan, a retired kindergarten teacher for the Pampa School District, have two children, Ryan and Summer.
