Pampa Learning Center

Welcome to the website for Pampa's alternative high school, The Pampa Learning Center. We are a school of choice for students between the ages of 16 and 21. Students apply to attend this small self-paced school.

Our student body is composed of students who have dropped out of school or were at risk of becoming dropouts. Many are teen parents or expectant parents.

PLC's fine staff provides a warm nurturing environment for students who have realized the value of an education and know that they need an alternative to the large regular school environment. We offer the basic high school curriculum along with an excellent Teen Parenting program. Day care is available in our well run, beautifully appointed Bright Beginnings Day Care.

PLC also offers a GED prep program for qualified students.

The Pampa Learning Center is a happy environment because students and staff alike choose to be here and try to keep a supportive, relaxed learning climate.

There are very few discipline problems as students accepted here are cooperative and self-motivated. The environment is conducive to learning. The teachers here are caring and loving of their students and one another. It is an ideal teaching and learning situation.
