Welcome to the Pampa ISD! We are pleased that you have decided to learn more about our schools. The goal of our school district is to arm each Pampa ISD student with the tools he/she will need to experience success in the future. We believe that early literacy is a key to all students’ academic success, and we have committed our elementary schools to ensuring that all of our students read at grade-level by the third grade. We were pleased when 98% of our third graders passed the state reading assessment in 2003!
The Pampa ISD provides a broad spectrum of educational opportunities for all of its students. In addition to an appropriate and challenging curriculum, our elementary students enjoy such “extras” as physical education classes with a certified elementary P.E. teacher, music with a certified elementary music teacher, special projects for students identified as gifted and talented, and band for fifth grade students. Our secondary students are provided opportunities to excel in band, choir, athletics, career and technology classes, academic competitions, and campus leadership.
Our students and staff have a great deal of pride in our schools. We express that pride through community projects and academic excellence. With the help of a grant, our school’s technology department has formed a partnership with the community to provide technology classes for community members at no cost. Also, computers with Internet connections have been made available at locations in our town for the citizens to use.
