In a safe and supportive environment, we, as a dedicated coaching staff through a team approach will enhance academics, positive character traits and life skills by providing the opportunity of athletic participation to every student who has the ability and desire.
The most important people in our organization are our student/athletes. Athletics is an avenue to improve academic performance by teaching and improving positive character traits. I believe that a coach’s primary responsibility is to be a positive role model for students and student athletes. All athletes should be encouraged to participate in any and all various sports in which they have ability and desire to participate. Pressure should not be directly or indirectly put on an athlete to “specialize” in any one sport. In order to have an outstanding athletic program at our school, ALL coaches must encourage and participate in selling the total sports program to our students. We are here to serve the students. The keys necessary to have a successful athletic program are the coaches, the athletes and the parents. Each has specific roles to play in the success of the program and each is equally important.
